This "One Off" was entirely built here at our facilities. We took a 2008 Silverado 4x4 flex fuel and stripped it off it's body. Then we fitted a 1947 Chevy Truck cab to it. Every piece of sheet metal is either custom fabricated or altered. The truck stands tall and several inches wider than original. It's bed and the included tool box are custom fabricated.
This car came to us mostly in boxes. The body was badly rusted and since there are no parts available, every needed piece of sheet metal had to be fabricated. This includes all 4 door skins, left rear quarter and radiator shell. The fenders, especially the rear ones, were badly damaged due to an accident and were straightened. We fabricated and installed a steel roof and then covered it in vinyl to make it appear original.
We at Luka redid the entire interior and added insulation to the trailer. We added structural support and fabricated rock guards for the front and rear windows.
The car came in with extensive rust and accident damage. The goal was to deliver a nice driver back to the customer.
after a body off rotisserie restoration, the transformation is complete
This beautiful car is owned by Mr. Mark Zoeller from Arkansas. It is a 428 car, well optioned. I did excessive mechanical work to it and it now runs and drives like new.
After stripping to bare metal and extensive straightening of damaged body panels, a high quality paint job in PPG ragoon red base and clear was applied. The clear then was cut and buffed to a mirror like finish.
I worked on and helped presenting Norm's Fish Truck at several shows throughout the country. Darryl Starbird Shows in Wichita,KS and Tulsa,OK, Good Guy's events in Nashville,TN and DeMoines,IA and shows in Baton Rouge,LA and Longmont,CO. In the shop I did excessive suspension, frame and steering changes as well as adding a new, weather safe roof and electrical work. Norm was a good friend of ours and we are proud to have supported him and his creation! He used to put many miles on his treasures!
Unfortunatelly we lost him on Octuber 11th 2012 to cancer. We will miss you buddy!
The goal was to produce a high end daily driver. Some modifications for comfort, reliability and fuel economy have been done, all leaks and imperfections have been worked out. You can see it now daily on the roads of Los Angeles.
This beautiful classic roadster is now much enjoyed as a weekend driver by it's proud owner.
Please have a look at some of our recent projects to see the quality work we do. We gladly give references so you can be sure your dream car will be well taken care of.
